TAIPEI, TAIWAN – October 28, 2021 – The new ANS-9A44F/9A42F is a perfect fit for SD-WAN (Software-Defined WAN) applications, which also support 5G and Wi-Fi 6. ANS-9A44F/9A42F utilizes the Intel Atom® C3558R 4C processor and C3758R 8C processor, providing multiple I/O interfaces, with 2x GbE LAN ports, 2x SFP+ ports, 2x GbE PoE+ ports, 2x GbE RJ45/SFP Combo ports, 1x RJ45 console, 2x USB3.0 ports, 2x M.2 Key B Slots (PCIe and USB 3.0 signals), 2x M.2 Key E Slots (PCIe and USB 2.0 signals), 4x SIM Slots and PCIe x4 slots.
Provides the Features Required by the Diversified Network Market Demand
According to Ben Hsieh, Portwell’s product manager, the design features of ANS-9A44F/9A42F utilizes Intel Atom C3558R and C3758R to support QAT (Intel QuickAssist Technology) and DPDK (Data Plane Development Kit) to provide better network transmission performance and security. With multiple I/O interfaces, two 10G ports can provide enough bandwidth to transmit a large amount of data. For IoT applications, we provide two PoE+ ports, two PoE Devices can also be connected. The advantage of combo ports is that it can supports different fields on different GbE interfaces. “Furthermore,” Hsieh says, “the wireless support has two M.2 Key B/Key E slots, and there are 4 SIM card slots, which can be used on LTE/ 5G/ Wi-Fi 5/ Wi-Fi 6 applications. Also, the LED lights can clearly demonstrate the strength of Wi-Fi/LTE signals, and it can provide connection/action lights for all I/O ports. It helps users to easily distinguish the transmission status on the same side of the system. Finally, a PCIe x4 slot has been reserved mainly for expansion which creates higher flexibility for users under different applications.”

The ANS series products provide a hardware platform that can support small and medium-sized of enterprises with the growing demand on SD-WAN. The ANS-9A44F/9A42F is only 215 (W) x 180 (D) x 42 (H) mm. ANS series are all desktop design and support wall mount kits. “When customers want to place the ANS series in their computer facilities,” Hsieh suggests, “they can simply use the rack mount to install two ANS series products in a 1U space, which improves space utilization and increased flexibility in various workplaces.
