Portwell IWOS series system, a multi-functional 5U/4U server grade with dual/quad MEC Arch modules system, powered by Intel® Xeon E-2278GE 3.3GHz. Portwell IWOS System is focused on enabling workload consolidation in the edge devices such as Retail, Banking, Education, and Hospitality. Portwell IWOS System conceptually partitions the processing system into two domains. The first domain was validated to work with multiple MEC Arch modules, which support PCIe Acceleration cards like HDDL (High-Density Deep Learning) and other off-the-shelf PCIe cards, providing the scalability to support current and future workloads such as video and analytic applications. The second domain is the baseboard of the system, which provides the connection for MEC Arch modules. This provides the mechanical mounting point and power along with physically and electrically standard connectors and interfaces (PCIe, USB, SATA, Ethernet, and so on). It is intended that MEC Arch modules will be interoperable with various IWOS baseboards/systems.

Switch UM WEB can manage the switch inside the Portwell IWOS system. Switch UM-Web for monitoring/configure capability includes VLAN Configuration, Load Balancing, Port-Based, QoS, and Port Status / Statistics.

Edge Software Provisioner (ESP)

ESP can be, according to the profile, quickly installed bare-metal image file from the host to target the MEC Arch module on the Portwell IWOS system.

Retail Workload Orchestrator (RWO)

RWO can use a high-performance system to allocate resources.
