Life Comes First! Portwell Holds Annual AED and CPR Training to Enhance Emergency Response Skills

According to medical research, when cardiac arrest occurs, the golden rescue window is only 4-6 minutes. If immediate intervention is not provided, oxygen deprivation can cause irreversible brain damage or even lead to loss of life. To empower employees to take action in critical moments, Portwell conducts annual AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training. This initiative equips employees with life-saving skills, strengthens workplace safety awareness, and fosters a shared commitment to protecting lives.

This year’s training featured professional emergency response instructors who provided hands-on practice and simulated drills, ensuring that employees could properly operate an AED. The AED is a user-friendly device equipped with voice guidance that automatically assesses whether an electric shock is needed. Even individuals without a medical background can quickly learn to use it effectively. Administering CPR and AED intervention before medical personnel arrive can greatly increase a patient’s survival rate.

During the training, employees learned to identify signs of cardiac arrest, master CPR chest compression techniques, and coordinate AED-assisted rescue efforts. The session emphasized the principle that “time is life”, reinforcing confidence through practical exercises so participants could remain calm and take immediate action in emergency situations.

At Portwell, ensuring employee safety and well-being is a core corporate responsibility. We remain committed to promoting first aid education and fostering a safer workplace. We believe that in times of crisis, every trained employee can become a key force in saving lives. Moving forward, we will continue to provide relevant training programs, integrating life-saving knowledge into employees’ daily lives and building a stronger foundation for health and safety.
